Lions, tigers, bears… and movies, oh my! The Reid Park Zoo is the place to be this summer for traditional animal viewing and a variety of family events. The Tucson Zoological Society presents MonZOOn Movie Magic every Friday night through the end of June. Grab a blanket and a lawn chair for movie watching fun under the stars. Activities include face painting, animal encounters, games, crafts and Leo the Lion mascot appearances. Affordable snacks are also available, such as $1 hot dogs, sodas, chips and more. Film titles include The Jungle Book, Madagascar 2 - Escape to Africa and many others.
If you like to see your animals in 3-D, no need to bring glasses, simply attend the Tiger Birthday Celebration on June 27, from 9:00am-10:30am. The Zoo's resident Baheem is turning 8 years old and he's inviting you to come celebrate with him! There will be games, giveaways, and birthday treats for the tiger AND for people too! No registration is necessary and the birthday activities are free with regular admission to the Zoo.
With so many activities at the Reid Park Zoo this summer, it really is the cool place to be
