Tucson community radio station, 91.3 FM, will be spinning cuts from the following new albums this month.

Ben Folds and Nick Hornby
Lonely Avenue  (Nonesuch)
Folds puts the music and melodies to 12 new short tales by the famed British author.

Matt Costa
Mobile Chateau (Brushfire)
The CD features 12 catchy brand new songs from Costa, who brings the tunes to Tucson on October 9 for a show at Club Congress.

Jerry Lee Lewis
Mean Old Man (Verve)
The Killer keeps the collaborations coming, teaming up here with the likes of Eric Clapton, Kid Rock, John Fogerty and Mavis Staples.

Robert Plant
Band of Joy (Rounder)
Plant builds on the fresh sound first created with Alison Krauss on this set, which includes work with Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller.

Mavis Staples

You Are Not Alone (Anti-)
Mavis puts her powerful vocals to gospel/pop songs by Randy Newman, Allen Toussaint and Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy.
