Enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the landscape along the walkway from the parking lot to your happy hour experience at Lodge on the Desert. Every day from 4pm to 7pm, the Lodge serves a margarita for $5 or selected specialty cocktails for $4. If the color of the Prickly Pear Mojito doesn’t get your mojo risin’, the knockout flavor surely will. The Chocolate Mole Margarita packs some gentle heat. In honor of Earth Day, try a $5 glass of “tap wine,” wine on tap that doesn’t waste bottles, corks, or packaging.
All bar food items are 1/2 off, including chunky guacamole served on the avocado “half-shell” with salted tortilla chips ($4). The decadently creamy Spinach Boursin Fondue ($5.25) is made with Laughing Bird shrimp and artichokes. The fondue is served warm in a miniature cast iron lidded pot with warm baguette slices. Double Check Sliders ($4.75) come with tasty seasoned Lodge Fries. Don’t miss the chef’s charcuterie menu that features a changing selection of prosciutto, salami, cheeses, and olives.
Warm blonde woods, sienna adobe walls, exposed beams, and skylights work effortlessly together to create a relaxing atmosphere. Be sure to look up and notice the spiral motifs on the wrought iron chandeliers, reminiscent of dust devils, and the black and white low angle photos of saguaros. The bar’s banquette and movable benches invite you to create a personal conversation pit. Or perch at the pub tables or at the bar.
No mirage here…it’s a tranquil oasis of gourmet food and beverages.
