Animal Farm

By Showup.com

Having just been awarded the Tucson Pima Arts Council "Lumie Award" for Emerging Arts Organization for innovation and creativity at the 2009 Lumies Arts and Business Awards, The Rogue Theatre is proud to present Animal Farm based on George Orwell's novella.

This Southwest premiere is an exciting new adaptation which provides a fresh look at the classic story of rebellion and assimilation. When the animals decide that they can run the farm better than the farmers who keep them, they set out to create a utopian world in which everyone is equal. Except that some are more equal than others. In a world where the political pendulum is constantly swinging, this is a fascinating cautionary tale about ambition, power and the importance of skepticism.

Animal Farm will be presented in Rogue Theatre's new home at the Historic Y at 300 East University Blvd., Thursdays through Sundays, September 10 through 27.
