Screening Room Marquee Lights Up in Fall

Ongoing work on the new marquee at The Screening Room on Congress Street has hit a "structural snag" according to Michael Keith, a developer and board member of the Arizona Media Arts Center, but the delay of three to four weeks won't stop the marquee from being installed and lit up by the end of October.

HOG Rally No Longer

After three years in Downtown Tucson, the Arizona State HOG (Harley Davidson Owners Group) Rally Committee voted May 3 to take its annual motorcycle rally back to Williams, Arizona in 2010. The event had been held in Williams for seven years prior to the 2007 Rally in Tucson.

The Buzz in Business Haps

WE'VE HEARD noise that the location of the former Monkey Box could reopen soon. A favorite among downtowners, the Monkey Box was an intimate little bar and restaurant on the bottom floor of the Pioneer building at 100 N. Stone Ave. No word yet if the Monkey Box name will be revived or what the offerings will be, but if the location does open back up, you can bet we'll check it out.
