I was a Tucson trekker for more than a decade before deciding to move here from New York City. I%u2019m a fan of the Sonoran Desert magic and our funky, dusty small city. I can%u2019t imagine a better place to live, work and play. I have more than 30 years experience in non-profit and corporate communications. Retired from United Parcel Service international communications group, I also was an officer of the national non-profit, Keep America Beautiful. I began my career in journalism and have been published in the New York Times as well as other print and electronic media. I am a board member of www.iabctucson.com and manage both www.tucsoncowgirl.com and www.tucsonmainstreet.com websites.

At Tucson yarn shops like these I can attend Knit Nights, where lovers of needles and yarn commiserate about funky new patterns or the latest in organic fibers.
